122 YEARS OF ADVOCACY | RESOURCES | BENEFITS | NETWORKING & CELEBRATING PARTNERSHIPS IN THE PARKLAND

The Parkland Chamber of Commerce is a non-profit organization that is focused on the betterment of the business community in the Parkland Region.

The Chamber has been in operations since 1903 and is overseen by a volunteer board of directors. The Parkland Chamber of Commerce has a growing membership of roughly 300 businesses from across the Parkland that reflect a diverse network of small, medium and large businesses from almost every industry sector and business profession. The membership is serviced through various programs, networking and advocacy.

The Chamber is financed through membership investment. The Chamber generates its operating revenue from membership dues, Affinity Partner programs, events and sponsorship. Each level of the Chamber system (local, provincial, regional and national) is autonomous and financially independent.

The Chamber maintains membership in the Manitoba Chambers of Commerce, Chamber Executives of Manitoba, Chamber of Commerce Executives of Canada and the Canadian Chamber of Commerce.

ADVOCACY

The Chamber accomplishes collectively what no business can do alone. It represents its membership on issues affecting business and the community including the provincial, federal and municipal budgets, economic development issues, infrastructure and transportation issues, and other areas that affect the members’ ability to grow and prosper.

RESOURCES

Resource is another key service provided by the Chamber. For our membership and the public at large, we are seen as a hub for resources and an ambassador of the community. We are the conduit for information to keep the public up to date or promote community interest events and news.

BENEFITS

Affinity Programs + Member-to-Member promotions. These tools include access to the Canadian Chamber Group Insurance Plan, attractive credit and debit card discounts through First Data and a variety of opportunities to promote one’s business.

NETWORKING

The Chamber is also committed to providing networking opportunities for its members to enable them to grow their businesses by making valuable contacts with other members of the business community. People do business with people.

PARTNERS

The Chamber partners with various organizations to organize community events and fund projects.

CELEBRATING

Each year the Chamber hosts multiple events to celebrate key organizations, businesses and individuals in our community. We focus on celebrating membership milestones, grand openings, anniversaries and member successes.
