Dauphin, MB – The Parkland Chamber of Commerce has made the difficult decision to not hold the 2026 Annual Street Fair & Dance, on the originally scheduled date of Thursday, July 30, 2026.

This decision comes after careful consideration by the Chamber’s Board of Directors in light of the ongoing recovery efforts throughout the Parkland region. With the City of Dauphin and many surrounding municipalities remaining under local States of Emergency, and the continued absence of local hospital emergency services, the Board believes it is in the best interest of the community to delay this year’s event.

The safety of our vendors, sponsors, volunteers, entertainers, staff, and the thousands of people who attend the Street Fair each year remains our highest priority.

“We know this news will be disappointing to many,” said Jon Yerama the President of the Parkland Chamber of Commerce, “The Street Fair is a tradition that brings our community together and provides tremendous value to our local businesses, vendors, and visitors. However, we believe our responsibility is to put the health and safety of our community first.”

Rather than cancelling the event altogether, the Parkland Chamber is actively exploring opportunities to host a modified Street Fair or community celebration later this fall, should conditions allow. While no dates have been confirmed, the Chamber is committed to working with community partners, vendors, sponsors, and local stakeholders to determine whether an alternative event can be safely organized.

Registered vendors, entertainers, service providers and event partners will be contacted directly regarding next steps, including options for a potential fall event.

The Parkland Chamber extends its sincere appreciation to everyone who has supported this year’s planning efforts. We are especially grateful to our volunteers, sponsors, businesses, and community partners for their patience, understanding, and continued commitment during this challenging time.

As our region continues to recover, we encourage everyone to continue supporting local businesses and organizations. The resilience, generosity, and community spirit shown throughout the Parkland over the past several weeks has been truly inspiring, and we look forward to bringing our community together again when the time is right.

Additional information regarding a potential fall event will be shared as it becomes available.
